Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!
These vegan waffles are incredibly tasty and quite healthy too! I use coconut blossom sugar in this recipe. Coconut blossom sugar is a sweet, aromatic, unrefined sugar. It has a low glycemic index of only 35 which means it has a low effect on blood sugar levels. Crispy on the outside and airy on the inside without animal components!
Serves approx 10 vegan waffles
200 gram spelt flour
2 heaping tsp coconut blossom sugar
sachet backing powder (16 grams)
3 tbs flax seed oil or melted coconut oil
325 ml oat milk
touch of salt
Whisk all the ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Preheat the waffle maker
- Now poor in some batter. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately!
- These waffles are lovely with some powdered sugar, maple syrup and berries!
