Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!

These vegan waffles are incredibly tasty and quite healthy too! I use coconut blossom sugar in this recipe. Coconut blossom sugar is a sweet, aromatic, unrefined sugar. It has a low glycemic index of only 35 which means it has a low effect on blood sugar levels. Crispy on the outside and airy on the inside without animal components!

Serves approx 10 vegan waffles


  • 200 gram spelt flour

  • 2 heaping tsp coconut blossom sugar

  • sachet backing powder (16 grams)

  • 3 tbs flax seed oil or melted coconut oil

  • 325 ml oat milk

  • touch of salt




  • waffle maker

  • whisk

  1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Preheat the waffle maker
  3. Now poor in some batter. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve immediately!
  4. These waffles are lovely with some powdered sugar, maple syrup and berries!
