Vegan pie dough in an instant!

Fortunately, you can now buy vegan puff pastry and vegan pie pastry in the supermarket, but sometimes I just don't have that at home while I do need it for, for example, a savory pie.

With 4 ingredients that everyone has at home, you can make vegan pie pastry in no time! Great for the recipe for example this vegan chestnut and mushroom pie.


Ingredients:

  • 225 grams of flour

  • 60 ml of olive oil

  • 60 ml water

  • ½ tsp salt

  • for a slightly sweeter pastry, for example for the vegan chestnut and mushroom pie: 1 tsp (coconut blossom) sugar


  1. Put the flour in a food processor with dough hooks and add the salt and sugar if necessary. Mix together.
  2. Add the water and olive oil and mix well in the food processor.
  3. Remove the pastry from the food processor and knead it again by hand. Make it a sphere.
  4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for at least an hour before use.
