Spicy vegan tuna salad
More and more plant-based alternatives to fish and shellfish
I am so happy that more and more plant-based alternatives to fish and shellfish are on the market! Most people still love fish, but are increasingly realizing that eating fish damages the environment enormously. That is why I love to test and use products that do not harm the environment but that still offer the taste, texture and experience of fish and shellfish so that people can see that things can be done differently!
This recipe for spicy vegan tuna salad is somewhat similar to the recipe for the best vegan tuna salad, but this recipe contains even more protein and even algae oil (omega 3 fats)!
1 zakje Tuna Style Flakes Mediterranean (Good Catch Foods)
2 tbs vegan yogurt
1 tbs dill, finely cut
2 tsp capers, finely cut
1 tl vegan mayo
1 shallot or a small red onion, finely cut
½ apple, cut into small cubes
1 tsp Sriracha sauce
Tear open the bag of Tuna Style Flakes and put the contents in a bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix everything together.
- For example, serve with toast on a snack board, on a sandwich or mix the vegan tuna salad with a green salad!
