Craving a tasty healthy snack?

Make these marinated mushrooms!

Mushrooms contain vitamins B2 and B3. Do you ever have cracks in the corners of your mouth? You may have a vitamin B2 deficiency. B2 and B3 also prevent migraines and (in combination with vitamins B6) depression.

If you eat mushrooms in combination with products that contain vitamins B6 (such as whole grain cereals, sunflower seeds and avocado), this produces the amino acid tryptophan.

Tryptophan whut?

Tryptophan is an essential building material of serotonin and therefore indirectly has an antidepressant effect, it works against stress, has a hunger-soothing effect and promotes sleep!

I will have a full bowl of these marinated mushrooms in this quarantine time!


250 grams of mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams of mushrooms

  • ½ jalapeño

  • 3 cloves of garlic

  • 3 tbs olive oil

  • fresh herbs (I use a twig of rosemary, thyme and oregano)

  • sea salt or Himalaya salt

  • freshly ground black pepper


  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Clean the mushrooms and put them in the pan.
  2. Cut the jalapeno into slices or chop finely, peel the garlic cloves and add everything to the pan.
  3. All spices can also be added and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir occasionally!
