The medical effect of asparagus...

Asparagus has a strong moisture-repellent effect. Asparagus also activates the metabolism of protein, fat and carbohydrates in the body because they contain a lot of vitamin B2.

Asparagus contains the substance asparagine. This substance has a beneficial effect on liver disorders, insufficient kidney function, gout, chronic rheumatism, fatigue, palpitations and low blood pressure. They increase the quality of the skin, hair and connective tissue.

Also very nice just from a jar

Even out of season we can continue to eat those delicious asparagus, just from a jar! Asparagus needs to be cooked and therefore canned or glassed asparagus is as good as freshly cooked to experience the health benefits.

Earlier I made pumpkin hummus, black olive hummus and artichoke hummus. This time super creamy healthy asparagus hummus!

A large stock for the whole week!

  • 800 grams of chickpeas

  • 280 gram canned white asparagus (drained 160 gram)

  • 1 tbs tahini

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 1 handful of spinach

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • salt / pepper to taste

Drain the chickpeas and the white asparagus and put them in the food processor. Peel the garlic and add it to the food processor together with the rest of the ingredients. Grind everything finely until you have a creamy mass.

Cover a sandwich with fresh spinach leaves, this delicious asparagus hummus, cucumber, tomato, cashew nuts and pumpkin seeds.
